AXILLARY HYPERHIDROSIS
Axillary hyperhidrosis is the excessive sweating of the underarms. It is usually accompanied by an excess in sweating of other parts of the body, such as the palms of the hands or soles of the feet, and it causes great discomfort due to the sweat-stains on clothing, particularly during shopping. In some cases, it may require changing clothes several times a day.
Most of the cases can be managed with local treatments, such as ointments or lotions. Particularly resistant cases can be treated with endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy.
