PALMAR HYPERHIDROSIS
Palmar hyperhidrosis is the excessive sweating of the hands. It is frequently accompanied by an excess in sweating of other parts of the body, such as the axillae, the face, or the feet soles. Socially, it is very uncomfortable and a burden, especially in our society in which greetings involve shaking hands. Many of the afflicted are able to control this excessive sweating with the help of dermatological treatments.
In unresponsive cases, an endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy can be performed. Since it uses an endoscopic approach, the incisions are minimal and recovery is fast. In our clinic, we perform a single 8 mm incision in each axilla, providing excellent aesthetic results and minimal postoperative discomfort.
